Amadou is a natural material created from fungi that grows on tree bark.  Its greatest trait is the way in which it pulls moisture from soaked dry flies.  Perfect for CDC patterns, but excellent for all dry flies even foam hoppers, Amadou will change the way you fish.  No longer will your slimy, soaked dry flies sink on every cast, making them unusable.  Simply squeeze a soaked dry fly into the amadou and then re-dress it with your favorite floatant.  Now its good as new.  No serious dry fly fisherman or woman should be streamside without some amadou.
